Free Fruits in Office - Denmark Corporate Culture

In Denmark, most of the companies provide free fruits in office. Different varieties of fruits are available. In my office they used to keep fruits basket near our cubicles. Generally they keep one basket for one project. We are allowed to have fruits in any number and at any time, but only in office.

Also in my office they keep the fruits in canteen, so after your lunch you can take fruits from there as well.  But as there are lot of people and its difficult to manage, they have one rule that you can take only one fruit.

One day one of person(A) from my company from India took some 4-5 bananas after lunch. We have a kind of HR person there in client location in Denmark who look after employees and their behaviour and all. So here he saw that Mr. A has taken 4-5 bananas and he came and started talking to him.

HR - Hello Mr. A. You are supposed to take only one banana at a time.
Mr. A - Oh, Is it? Okie..

And then Mr. A just took one banana and kept back remaining bananas.

Now next day Mr A. took 4-5 apples with him and by chance HR saw him doing that. And here is the conversation -

HR - Hello Mr. A. I told you yesterday, that we should take only one fruit at a time and now you are taking so many apples?
Mr. A - But yesterday you told about banana, Right?

Lazy Guy!!!

One of my good friend with whom I stayed for some years. We were in same college. He is kind of lazy guy. When he was doing project coding for academic project, he used to ask his project mates to type and he will tell what to type.

This happened when we were staying in Bangalore. We had a maid for washing clothes and house cleaning work. Everyday she used to come and whatever clothes are there for washing she used to wash. One day there weren't any clothes. So she asked my friend for clothes for washing. He said, "Ok.", went inside his room and took all the clothes kept over there(should be around 5 pairs of pant shirt atleast) and gave it to maid. I am sure she was tired washing all those clothes and she would have thought that why did I ask for the clothes.

After that day she never asked him for clothes..... Hats off to my friend!!!

Don't go against nature!!!

Just try out this thing... Move your right leg cicrularly in clockwise direction. Now try to move your right hand in anticlockwise direction. Try to do both the things simultaneously. Can you do it?

I know you can't. There are some things which are very natural. They are designed in a way that you can not change it. And if you try to change it, you will be in trouble and the example for this is the side effects of cutting trees.
There are a lot of problems which indicates their origin from human activity against nature. Major two of them are Pollution and Global Warming. We should try to solve these problems instead of putting hand in increasing it.

Adarsh Gav - Ideal Village - Hivare Bazar... Ahmadnagar - India

Adarsh Gav - Ideal Village - Hivare Bazar... Ahmadnagar - India
This village is located in Ahmednagar district, around 10 km from Parner Taluka. This village is rewarded with Adarsh Gav(An Ideal Village) award. And different organizations have given few more awards to this village. The villagers and Sarpanch Mr. Popatrao Pawar have contributed a lot to make this village an ideal village.
They say that before 1991, the condition of this village was very bad. There was a liquor shop and most of the people used to drink a lot. School was not in good condition. There were no toilets, so people used to go road side to finish their morning work. :) So basically condition of village was very bad.
In 1991, Mr Prataprao Pawar became Sarpanch of the village. Having Commerce degree, he could have easily got nice job with high perks, but he chose to become Sarpanch. He wanted to do something for village. He wanted to change the things.
After becoming Sarpanch, during first meeting with village leaders, he decided to improve school buliding. As he was educated Sarpanch, villagers thought that, he will surely improve things. And they followed their leader. Step by step they improved lot of things in village.
Now each house have their own toilets.Villagers keep the village clean. They have kept big dust bins for thorwing waste material. They have put many water pumps in the village, idea behind that is even if you can go anywhere in village, you will get atleast drinking water. They have built a Marriage hall, which can be used free of cost by the villagers during their son/daughter's marriage.
They have done different projects for improving the ground water level in the village. They have stopped people from taking artificial bore wells, as it reduces the ground water level. They have planted lot of trees basically by carrying out 'One person one plant' project. Each boy/girl in school has planted one plant and he/she has to take care of that plant untill it becomes tree.
They have received some award for carrying out the water conservation project.
For doing this, they didn't hire anybody, but they themselves have done this. This is basicall called as 'Sramadan' - Donate our time by working for the village. Now for keeping village clean they have created schedule saying who will do sramadan during what time.
Mr. Prataprao Pawar has taken lot of initiatives, created project plans and showed them to the indian government at different times to get the money for those projects. Indian government approves lot of plans for improving villages, but most of the plans go in vein as different Sarpanchs are not much educated and they are not aware of these things. But Prataprao has used these plans in better way to make his village an Ideal village. I really feel proud of writing about this village!!!
